Iroi Banner Preview — Should You Pull for NTE's First Limited S-Rank Healer?

Version 1.2’s second-half banner brings Iroi (伊洛伊), the game’s first limited S-Rank Survival unit — and the early verdict from servers that have tested her is unusually unanimous: pull.

What Iroi actually does

Iroi is an Anima-element healer who fights through summoned dream lambs. The lambs intercept attacks aimed at your teammates, effectively adding a second health pool to your whole roster. On top of that, her kit grants brief invulnerability windows — the strongest defensive tool any Survival character currently offers — and her ultimate delivers an AoE heal with a revive effect attached.

No other unit in the game combines all three: damage interception, invulnerability, and revival. That’s why the Chinese community, which has had her longer, considers her the single highest-priority pull of the patch, even for free-to-play accounts.

The “version answer” pairing

The Shinku + Hotori + Iroi composition is being called the 版本答案 — the definitive answer of v1.2. Shinku provides the damage ceiling, Hotori amplifies it, and Iroi removes the survival tax that usually costs you a damage slot. If you own Shinku, Iroi completes the strongest team in the game. If you don’t, she still slots into literally any composition as a universal upgrade over Edgar or Adler.

Pull advice

• F2P players: Iroi is worth your entire reserve. A healer of this caliber changes which endgame content is clearable, full stop.
• Shinku owners: mandatory. The pairing is the patch’s defining team.
• Everyone else: skip only if you already have deep survival coverage and are saving for Canhong or Lingke in v1.3.
