Chaos Build Guide — Best Arc, Cartridge Set, Teams & Rotation

Chaos is the roster’s benchmark damage dealer — the SS-tier Lakshana gunslinger every tier list agrees on. This guide skips the kit overview (that’s on her character page) and goes straight to the build layer: what to equip, what stats to chase, who to run her with, and where to stop spending.

Best Arc

Her signature Arc, What All Pursue, is a large upgrade — roughly 20%+ over the best alternatives. It carries Base ATK 570, around 24% Crit Rate, a permanent Lakshana DMG bonus in the 20–25% range, and a passive that grants +40% Crit DMG for 20 seconds after her skill or ultimate, refreshable so it stays up across her whole burst.

Arc Verdict
What All Pursue (signature) Best in slot. The Crit DMG passive lines up perfectly with her Judgment windows.
Fierce Sheep (battle pass) Best non-signature. Stacking Crit DMG that reaches ~72% at R5 — about 95% of the signature’s output, but you must source Crit Rate from gear.
Camellia Society The realistic free-to-play option. Crit Rate stat helps you cap, though the passive doesn’t fully benefit her.

If you pulled Chaos, pulling her signature is the single biggest account investment you can make after the character herself.

Cartridge set: Street Boxer

There is exactly one correct answer here — Street Boxer, the Lakshana set. No other set competes.

  • 2-piece: Lakshana DMG +10%
  • 4-piece: Crit Rate +14%, and after the team triggers Delay or Immersion, another +14% Crit Rate for 20 seconds

Run four Street Boxer modules plus a Drive Core — the Type III core (Crit DMG +16%) is the pick.

Main stats: Lakshana DMG% on the Cartridge itself first; Crit DMG, Crit Rate, or ATK% on modules.

Substat priority: Crit DMG ≈ Crit Rate > ATK% > generic DMG bonus > flat ATK. With the signature Arc’s built-in Crit Rate, lean harder into Crit DMG; with Fierce Sheep or Camellia, prioritize Crit Rate until you cap.

Skill upgrade order

Level everything eventually, but after unlocking passives, the order is: Normal Attack first (it drives her scythe strings and the Sin generation that feeds Judgment), then her Ultimate and skill together, and her support skill last.

Teams and rotation

The community-consensus meta team from Chinese guides is Chaos + Hathor + Haniel + Esper Zero. Hathor extends the Delay window her damage lives in, Haniel supplies the ATK buff and Chaos-element enablement, and the protagonist adds a burst buff. This is the damage-ceiling version.

The comfort version — Chaos + Haniel + Fadia plus a flex — trades some ceiling for Fadia’s damage redirection, which bails out imperfect play. If your dodging is reliable, run Hathor; if you want insurance, run Fadia. Budget options include Jiuyuan, Sakiri, and Adler as filler enablers.

Rotation at E0: enter on Chaos, skill to mark, build Sin through normal strings until her ultimate is ready, cast the ultimate, keep stringing normals to stack Sin, then spend the stacks with heavy attacks. Repeat, and swap out when the team’s cycle meter is full. Two rules: never swap mid-ultimate (it wastes the window), and perfect-dodge when you can — the counter is free damage.

Are duplicates worth it?

Chaos is fully complete at E0 — the community line is “zero duplicates graduates.” The honest breakdown:

  • E1: only worth it if it reliably adds an extra intercept stack in your play; otherwise skip.
  • E2: around an 11% gain and adds 20% DEF ignore. This is the sensible stopping point if you’re spending.
  • E3–E6: diminishing returns, each roughly 9–10% and some situational. E6 (starting with full Sin after ultimate) is whale territory.

Free players: E0 and her signature Arc if you can manage it. That’s the whole build.
