Banner & Pulling Guide — How NTE Gacha Works and Where to Spend

Two banners, two currencies, one rule

NTE runs two kinds of character banners. The standard banner (Everness Recruitment) is permanent and features the 15 launch characters. Limited banners run for a few weeks per version and feature time-exclusive characters who do not join the standard pool — they only return on reruns.

The one rule that saves accounts: never spend limited currency on the standard banner. The standard pool comes to you for free over time through normal play and occasional standard tickets. Limited currency is your only ticket to the characters who define the meta, and it is scarce.

Who is in each pool

Standard banner (15): Esper Zero, Nanally, Sakiri, Jiuyuan, Chiz, Hathor, Baicang, Daffodill, Fadia, Haniel, Adler, Mint, Aurelia, Skia, Edgar.

Note that Esper Zero is also a free story character — pulling her on standard is a wasted copy, so don’t target her.

Limited so far: Chaos (v1.1, the game’s strongest damage dealer), Shinku (v1.2 first half), and Iroi (v1.2 second half, the first limited S-Rank healer). All three are meta-defining. This is why hoarding for limited banners is the core free-to-play discipline.

What to prioritize

For a free-to-play or light-spending account, the priority order for limited units is:

1. Iroi — a healer of her caliber is universal. She fits every team and changes which endgame content is clearable. Highest value per pull for the widest range of accounts.
2. Hotori (when she reruns) — the best amplifier in the game, fits every composition.
3. Your element’s carry — Chaos, Shinku, or Nanally depending on what you’ve built.

Between limited banners, the standard banner is where you don’t spend. Let it fill itself.

A-Ranks are not consolation prizes

It’s easy to dismiss A-Rank pulls, but two of them are genuinely strong: Haniel is best-in-slot for Chaos-element teams, and Edgar will carry your survivability for the entire early game at zero investment. An A-Rank duplicate also builds toward constellations, which is real value. Don’t reroll away a good A-Rank start.
