Shinku Build Guide — Best Arc, Lost Radiance Set, Teams & Charge Rotation

Shinku is the limited Cosmos tachi that defines the v1.2 meta — an SS-tier burst window that can delete entire elite packs in one Rising Crimson state. She is also the roster’s most system-dependent carry: her damage assumes a Charge (盈蓄) support feeding her spirit gauge. This guide covers the gear layer only — her kit overview lives on the character page.

Best Arc

Her signature, Blushing Mirage, carries Base ATK 570, 24% Crit Rate, a permanent ATK +16%, and a passive that after her ultimate grants Cosmos DMG +30% and 12% DEF ignore for 20 seconds — a window sized exactly for her burst state.

Arc Verdict
Blushing Mirage (signature) Best in slot, and the DEF-ignore passive is the reason.
Camellia Society The free-to-play answer. Solid stat stick; the passive doesn’t fully leverage her kit.
A Time Will Come (A-rank) Contested. English guides list it as usable, but Chinese community guides actively warn against it — its conditional is awkward to keep satisfied in her rotation. Treat “avoid” as the stronger position unless you’ve tested it yourself.

If you got Shinku on the limited banner, her signature is worth chasing; unlike some carries, though, Camellia Society keeps you at 90%+ of the ceiling.

Cartridge set: Lost Radiance

Unanimous across every source — Lost Radiance, the Cosmos set:

  • 2-piece: Cosmos DMG +10%
  • 4-piece: After the wearer uses their ultimate, ignore 25% DEF for 20 seconds (does not stack with itself)

The 4-piece is built for her: one ultimate cast and the DEF ignore covers the entire Rising Crimson window. Run a Type III Drive Core (Crit DMG +16%).

Main stats: Crit Rate on the Cartridge until you cap, Cosmos DMG% on the damage module.

Substat priority: Crit DMG ≈ Crit Rate > Universal DMG bonus > ATK%. Cycle Intensity is genuinely valuable on her — faster team cycles mean more Charge-fed spirit before each burst.

Graduation panel targets (community-revised, the original published targets were unreachable): Crit Rate above ~85%, Crit DMG above ~170%, ATK above ~2,222.

Skill upgrade order

One v1.2 text change matters here: her Lone Walk and Intimidating Gaze multipliers now scale off Basic Attack level, which flips the old priority. Level Normal Attack first, keep her Ultimate close behind, and put her support-type talents last. (This scaling change is from a single source — if your in-game numbers look different after a patch, trust the character screen.)

Teams and rotation

Shinku is locked to the Charge system. Without a Charge support she needs roughly three full normal-attack combos to build enough Unruly Spirit for her ultimate; with one, it’s about one combo. That’s the entire reason her teams look the way they do.

The version-answer team from Chinese guides: Shinku + Iroi + Skia + Esper Zero. Skia’s 16-second Delay window covers Iroi’s 20-second field time, and Iroi converts her own HP into team ATK while keeping everyone alive — she is the reason this team outscores the older Hathor lineups.

  • Budget Charge team: Shinku + Hathor + Nanally + Esper Zero — the pre-Iroi standard, still strong.
  • Low-rarity team: Shinku + Mint + Skia + Esper Zero.
  • Hotori works in direct-damage variants, though revised post-patch guides have de-emphasized her.

Rotation rules: never enter Rising Crimson with a low Unruly Spirit gauge, and never swap out during it — the 13-second burst state ends immediately on swap. Build spirit on-field, trigger the ultimate, spend the whole window, then hand off to supports to reset the cycle.

Are duplicates worth it?

The community line for F2P: E0 is fully viable — pull zero duplicates, test the waters, don’t chase constellations.

  • E1: roughly 6–9%. Nice, not transformative.
  • E2: the stable worthwhile node, around 11–14%. This is the sensible spending stop.
  • E3+: diminishing returns; only for accounts already committed.

For the Charge and set-bonus systems behind this build, see the equipment mechanics guide and the farming guide. If you’re deciding whether to pull her banner at all, the banner pulling guide covers the pity math.
